The University of West Florida

The University of West Florida maintains its flagship campus in Pensacola, enrolling over 13,000 students each year. The school also serves distance learners, who can take individual asynchronous classes or pursue fully online degrees through Canvas. Undergraduate offerings include community education, health sciences, and maritime studies. Licensed RNs can earn their bachelor of science in nursing through a flexible program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The university also offers an online clinical laboratory sciences track that prepares candidates to work as medical laboratory scientists. At the graduate level, online programs include fields like accountancy, mathematics, and geographic information science. UWF delivers a master of social work that meets the state licensure requirements for clinical social workers. Distance learners may also pursue graduate education credentials, with options for curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, and exceptional student education. Graduate applicants need a minimum 3.0 GPA and adequate GRE/MAT/GMAT scores. Financial aid includes academic merit and departmental scholarships. UWF also provides tuition waivers for eligible out-of-state students.
