Part of the Florida College System, St. Petersburg College offers affordable associate and bachelor's degrees. Over 29,000 students attend SPC, many of whom enroll in fully remote academic programs facilitated by the Desire2Learn platform. Associate-level academics cover fields such as veterinary technology, computer networking, and emergency administration and management. Distance learners can also earn an associate of science in early childhood education to access careers as preschool teachers. SPC delivers online bachelor's degrees in areas like dental hygiene, business administration, and management and organizational leadership. The college also offers a unique sustainability management program that prepares students for "green-collar" jobs in renewable resources and urban planning. Furthermore, baccalaureate candidates may earn a health services administration degree that covers healthcare policies and strategic service delivery methods. SPC maintains an open-door admissions policy for candidates with a high school diploma or GED certificate. The college charges per-credit tuition prices based on course level and residency status.
