Founded in 1766 as Queen's College, Rutgers currently operates as the eighth-oldest postsecondary school in the country. Its academic offerings include over 120 undergraduate majors; more than 200 graduate and professional programs; and numerous continuing education programs including certificates, noncredit courses, and degree completion programs.
