Based in Springfield, American International College is a private liberal arts institution that supports about 1,700 students annually. The school offers distance education programs through the Blackboard platform. Online learners can earn bachelor's degrees in general business and social science. Each track totals 120 credits and allow candidates to personalize their curriculum through three concentration areas. Asynchronous courses last seven weeks. With six start dates each year, students can begin taking classes at their convenience. AIC also offers a fully online RN-to-BSN program that accepts up to 90 transfer credits, allowing students to obtain their degree in 15 months. Licensed nurses can also prepare for leadership positions by enrolling in the school's master of science in nursing program. MSN candidates choose from an administor, educator, or family nurse practitioner concentration. All nursing programs hold specialized accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Distance learners pay per-credit tuition based on program level and type. AIC does not maintain minimum GPA or testing requirements for undergraduate students. Graduate applicants typically need a minimum 2.75 GPA.
